How this Bible is made
Made by humans with love, and the help of AI, in the service of God.
Who does what
People give direction, check and approve. They set the creative and spiritual direction. They agreed the charter every note is held to, chose the art, and approve every note on a question where Christians differ and every link from a passage to Jesus. They also read a sample of everything else.
AI agents draft and build. They write the notes and word studies, draw the maps, date the events, and build this site, each working from sources we can check.
Every claim is checked before anyone reads it. A separate AI checker, which never sees how a note was written, reads every fact and every quotation against the source at the page cited. A theological reviewer then holds the note to the charter. Nothing is published until it passes both, and nothing that needs a person's approval until they have given it.
Where the words come from
- The Bible text is the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain.
- The commentators we quote are John Calvin (1847), Keil and Delitzsch (1866) and Matthew Henry (1828), from public-domain editions, quoted word for word.
- The Hebrew words and their meanings come from STEPBible's open data.
- Every note lists its sources in its last layer, so you can check them yourself.
Credits names every source and its licence.
What we hold to
We present the Bible as true, and as God's word, reading each passage according to its kind. Our confessional minimum is the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. Where faithful Christians who share that view of Scripture disagree, we set out each view fairly and let you weigh them. We are here to present, not to argue.
